About
NIMA Creates is a violinist for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
Violin, but pointed at modern songs rather than the string quartet repertoire. NIMA plays live covers with a cinematic, stripped-back edge, the kind of sound that fills a room during a ceremony or canapes without pulling attention away from what's actually happening. The setup is wireless and self-contained, so there's no gear sprawl in the corner of your venue. There's a soundcheck before every performance, at least half an hour of it. And the song choice is genuinely open. Drake on violin is on the table. So is Mozart. Melbourne based, working across events and weddings.
Watch
The show
Live violin over modern songs, played with a stripped-back, cinematic edge rather than as a string quartet piece. It's built to sit under the moment: a ceremony, canapes, the part of the night where people are talking. Present, but never pulling the room's attention off what's actually happening. The music is picked to match the tone and feel of your event, and the whole thing runs smoothly from your first message through to the performance.
On the day
Self-sufficient, with the sound gear included and a wireless, minimal setup, so there's no tangle of cables in the corner of your venue. The one firm ask is a soundcheck of at least 30 minutes before the performance, to make sure the sound is right in that particular room.
