About

Elisha is a violinist for hire in Melbourne, VIC.

A Melbourne violinist who'd genuinely like to hear about your plans before talking about anything else. Elisha performs solo alongside carefully chosen backing tracks, with a song list that stretches from Coldplay, Harry Styles, Billie Eilish and Dua Lipa to John Denver, Etta James, John Farnham and Besame Mucho. Weddings are the main work, and she'll help sort out the music, the flow and the structure of the day rather than just turning up and playing. Her equipment is battery operated, so a power point is a preference rather than a requirement. One thing worth planning for: the violin needs protection from rain and heat, so an outdoor ceremony needs a covered backup location.

Watch

On the day

A power point is nice to have, but it isn't essential, because all the equipment runs on battery as well. Outdoors takes more thought. The violin can't get wet and it doesn't like the sun either, so any outdoor booking needs an undercover spot plus a backup location ready to use if the weather turns. If it's raining or looks like it will, she'll move to the nearest shelter, but if there's nothing close by she won't be able to play. Heat matters too, so an outdoor wedding over 35 degrees needs a properly shaded area. If you're unsure whether your location works, raise it early and she'll talk it through with you.

Performance options

A solo violin performance, played alongside backing tracks chosen to suit the piece. It's one player rather than an ensemble, which keeps the footprint small without thinning out the sound.
