The show

Matthew turns up an hour before he plays, sets up and sound checks, so nothing is being sorted out while your guests are arriving. The playing itself is pitched to the moment: something romantic and quiet for a ceremony, something smoother for cocktails, or electric violin with real punch behind it when the dance floor opens. He talks to your coordinator, celebrant or DJ beforehand so the cues are agreed and nobody is guessing about when the aisle music starts.

On the day

A standard power outlet, and a flat dry patch to play on with shade or shelter if you're outdoors. He needs less than two metres of space, so he fits into corners that a band never would. Parking near the venue helps for unloading. He brings his own speakers, wireless gear and backing tracks, and if you've got a DJ he can run through their system instead.

Performance options

The ceremony package covers half an hour of music as guests arrive, then live playing for the aisle walk, the signing and the exit, with a song of your choosing included. Extend it and you add 45 to 60 minutes of modern cocktail music, acoustic or electric. A reception booking covers background music through dinner plus the moments that matter, entrances and the first dance.
