About
Jordan Millar is a singer for hire in Hobart, TAS.
Fifteen years of playing around Australia sits behind Jordan Millar's acoustic sets, and it shows up in the range. A wedding ceremony one weekend, a Sunday session the next, then an upbeat percussive show at a festival in the John Butler mould. Guitar and voice are the core of it. Jordan books as a solo, a duo, a trio or a full band, and DJs as well, which is why the duo plus DJ pairing gets asked for most often: chilled through dinner, dance floor by the end of the night. Full audio production comes with every booking, including battery PA and wireless mics for ceremonies away from power. Based in Hobart. Public liability insurance held.

The show
Guitar and voice, and a set that moves depending on what the day is. A ceremony one weekend, a relaxed Sunday afternoon the next, then the percussive upbeat show that Jordan Millar takes to festivals. Fifteen years of gigs around the country sit behind it. You can book him on his own, as a duo, a trio, or with a full band, and he also DJs, so the music can carry right through a wedding without handing over to somebody else halfway.
On the day
Sound is handled. Every booking includes the full audio production rig, so you're not hiring a PA separately or hoping the venue has something workable. There's a battery powered system for ceremonies out in a paddock or on a beach with no power nearby, wireless mics so vows are actually heard, and DJ decks when the night calls for them.
Performance options
The pairing people ask for most is the duo plus DJ. Jordan plays acoustic through the early part of the night, then moves across to the decks once dinner's done and the floor opens up. Chilled at the start, dancing by the end, and one act handling both. It suits weddings and works just as well for a function.
