About
Angelene is a singer for hire in Hobart, TAS.
A Hobart singer whose voice draws comparisons to Amy Winehouse, Norah Jones, Adele and Lana Del Rey. The setlist runs from Otis Redding's Dock of the Bay and Peggy Lee's Fever through to MGMT, Daft Punk and Ed Sheeran, and Angelene will learn particular requests with a month's notice. Everything is self-managed on the day: arrival at least an hour before start time for setup and soundcheck, a full PA suited to rooms of up to 150 people, and a battery powered amp for outdoor wedding ceremonies where there's no power. Details get double checked with you in the week of the event. Insured and organised.
Watch
The show
Angelene checks in during the week of your event to run through the details a second time, which catches the small changes that always creep in. She'll want to know early what sort of feel you're after, and any specific song you'd like performed needs to reach her a month out so it can be properly learned. On the day she's there an hour before the start to set up and soundcheck, and she manages all of that herself. You just tell her where to stand.
On the day
The PA she brings is a real one: Allen and Heath mixer, QSC speakers, instrument leads, enough to cover a room holding up to 150 people. Access to power is what that needs from you. For an outdoor ceremony where there's no power to be found, she swaps to a battery powered amp, which suits smaller gatherings and keeps a garden or a beach spot on the table.
