About

TalzTwirlz is a hula hoop act for hire in Blue Mountains, NSW.

Hoops, light and colour, spun by a performer who clearly loves the dance side as much as the tricks. Talz works out of the Blue Mountains across community events, festivals, corporate functions, private celebrations and kids' parties. Daytime shows, LED for the evening, and fire when you want the crowd to gather. There are silk fan routines too, plus facilitated play spaces and hoop workshops for all ages. She also collaborates with other performers, so a booking can grow into a duo, a group show or a roving crew. Acts run 5 to 15 minutes, with roving sets typically 20 to 30 minutes on and 20 off. Insured, and all fire safety equipment comes with the performer.

Watch

The show

Hoops in daylight, LED hoops once the sun goes down, fire when you want everyone to stop talking and look. Talz spins all three, and there are silk fan routines as well, which are the softer, flowing option for a roving set. The dancing is as much of it as the tricks. Acts run five to fifteen minutes, and roving sets usually work as twenty to thirty minutes on and twenty off, so a long afternoon gets covered without the crowd seeing the same thing twice.

On the day

For roving and performance work, TalzTwirlz arrives at least twenty to thirty minutes before the set time to find you or your event coordinator, look at the area and work out anything that needs changing for the space. Fire performance needs about fifteen minutes to prepare. Workshops and the play space need twenty minutes. All the fire safety equipment travels with the performer, so that side is taken care of.

Performance options

Hula hoop performance is the core, available as daytime roving, LED roving, or a stage show. Silk fan dancing is the other roving option, all flowing fabric and movement. Fire entertainment can be a single performer or several, using hoops, fans and swords. And there's a hands-on side: facilitated play spaces and hoop workshops for all ages, where your guests get to have a go themselves. Talz also collaborates with other performers, so any of these can be booked as a duo, a group show or a roving crew.
