Folklore Murder Mystery Events is an event services business for hire in Perth, WA.
Nobody hands you a script. Folklore run player-driven social deduction games for 10 to 15 people, where you draw a character card with your role, your abilities and which side you're actually on, then talk your way through it. Two worlds to pick from: Monster Hunt, medieval villagers trying to work out who among them isn't human, and Hollywood Masquerade, a glamorous party with something nasty underneath. Roles are dealt at random so no two runs land the same. Corporate groups use it for team building and communication as much as for the fun of it. Set-up is a circle of chairs and about 15 minutes of a storyteller's time. Bigger groups run as concurrent games. Perth based, full public liability cover.

The show
Your group becomes the story. One night you're medieval villagers working out which of you isn't human, another you're guests at a Hollywood party with something wrong underneath it. Everyone draws a character card when they sit down, telling you your role, what you can do, and whether you're on the good side or the other one. Nobody reads from a script. The whole thing runs on conversation, argument and reading the person opposite you. Because the roles are dealt at random and people play them differently, running it twice gives you two completely different nights.
On the day
Chairs, and that's about the size of it. Enough for every player to sit in a circle with the middle left empty. A storyteller handles everything else and has a game ready to go in roughly 15 minutes.
Performance options
The short corporate option is a single 90 minute round of Monster Hunt. The standard package runs three hours and gives you two rounds, either Monster Hunt or Hollywood Masquerade, for up to 15 people. Bigger groups aren't a problem: extra storytellers run concurrent games in blocks of 10 to 15, so a large team can all play at once.
