About
Cluedunnit Murder Mysteries is an event services business for hire in Fremantle, WA.
Cluedunnit run whodunnit parties and dinner theatre nights out of Fremantle, and they'll travel anywhere in WA. The Agatha Christie style dinner theatre uses professional actors as every suspect. They mingle during pre dinner drinks dropping clues, then one sits at your table over the meal while the rest circulate, so no table gets left out of the interrogation. There are ten plots for that version, all set in the 1930s Poirot and Miss Marple world. The hosted option is simpler and has fifteen plots, with guests playing suspects and detectives themselves, and it works for birthdays, hens nights and even wedding receptions. Full public liability cover. Room set up takes about two hours for the classic format, or 20 minutes for the hosted one.
Watch
The show
Professional actors play every suspect, and they're working on your guests from the moment the pre dinner drinks start, dropping clues into ordinary conversation. When dinner is called, one of them sits down at your table. That's your window to interrogate. Through the meal the suspects move between tables so nobody misses out on the good bits, and the whole thing runs continuously rather than in scenes. A detective or crime writer runs the evening so you can just play along. Solution forms are collected over coffee and the winning table is announced at the end.
On the day
For the classic dinner theatre version, allow two hours to set the room up properly. There are props, clues, costumes and paperwork to place before guests arrive. The hosted version is far quicker: they turn up and are ready to start in about 15 to 20 minutes, which makes it easy to slot into a party that's already running.
Performance options
Two formats. The hosted one is the simpler night: your guests play the suspects and the detectives themselves, run by one or two professional actors depending on numbers. Nobody needs acting experience. It fits family birthdays, hens nights and even wedding receptions, at a venue of your choosing anywhere in WA. The classic version is the full dinner theatre, with five or six actors playing all the parts, plus props, costumes, clues, paperwork, sound effects and period background music. They liaise with your venue directly and bring a prize for the winning team.
