About
MIxing is a singer-songwriter for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
Henry writes, produces, engineers and designs sound, and he's studying music production at Collarts. He releases electronic synth pop under his own project, Wave Bot. The main service on offer is mixing. You send stems and three to five reference tracks, he mixes in his home studio in Ableton Live with a deep plug-in library, then sends a first version back within a day. Up to three revisions, a day each. Every mix comes with a basic master, and you get both the mastered and unmastered files. He's strongest on electronic, synth and alternative pop, on the experimental end of electronic, and on cinematic or atmospheric material, with indie and singer-songwriter work also in range. Something well outside all that is still worth an ask. Sound design, composition, songwriting and production advice are available case by case.
The show
Send your stems over with three to five reference tracks, so Henry can hear where you want this to land rather than guess. The mix happens in his home studio in Ableton Live with a deep plug in library behind it. A first version comes back to you inside a day. From there you get up to three rounds of changes, roughly a day each, so the whole thing moves quickly compared to most studio work. He'll send you examples of past mixes directly when you ask. Strongest ground is electronic, synth pop, alternative and the more experimental or cinematic end of things, with indie and singer songwriter work also comfortable.
On the day
Stems as individual audio files, WAV at 24 bit if you can manage it. Label them clearly, so LeadVox and Kick and SynthPad rather than Audio 04, and include the BPM. Send your rough mix or demo bounce too, plus the reference tracks you're aiming at. Then write down what you already love about the track and what you want changed. That last bit is the useful one. If it's easier to talk it through, a call or a video chat can be set up instead of typing it all out.
Performance options
The basic option is a full mix of your track with one round of changes, a basic master included, and both the mastered and unmastered files delivered. The step up gives you three rounds of changes instead of one, adds light vocal tuning and timing clean up, and delivers all versions plus instrumentals. Beyond mixing there's a fuller option for people who want him further inside the record: production, sound design, songwriting support or creative direction. That one gets built around what you're making, so it starts with a conversation about the record rather than a fixed list.
