About
Majelen is a singer-songwriter for hire in Gold Coast, QLD.
Solo acoustic work out of the Gold Coast, built around guitar and voice. Sets run 45 minutes, and Majelen will play anywhere from one to three of them with a 15 minute break between each, which covers most afternoons and most receptions without any fuss. The style is flexible: country, folk, pop, jazz-leaning guitar, singer-songwriter originals, or a straight run of covers if that's what the room wants. Looping gets used too, so a solo set can carry more weight than one player normally would. Tell Majelen what sort of music you're after when you ask and the set gets shaped around that answer rather than around a fixed list. Weddings, pubs and private functions all sit comfortably in the range.
The show
A set runs 45 minutes. From there the shape is yours: one set, two or three, with a 15 minute break sitting between each one. Three sets plus the breaks fills the better part of an afternoon or a reception, and a single set works for a shorter slot where you only want music through one part of the day. Tell Majelen how long you need covered and the sets get spaced to match it.
