About
Ivy Amara is a singer-songwriter for hire in Cairns, QLD.
Born in Lithuania, at home in Australia now, Ivy Amara writes and sings like someone who has spent a lot of time on the road paying attention. The voice is pure and stirring, the lyrics tender and raw, and the guitar underneath stays soft enough to leave room for both. She's built a following in the Cairns live music scene and played the 2024 Tablelands Folk Festival, and her self produced single Back to Me has found listeners well beyond it. Live she'll run up to three hours of covers, Brown Eyed Girl, Valerie, Redemption Song, Big Jet Plane, mixed with a custom DJ set, or an entire set of originals if you want something no one else has had. Sound and lighting are provided. Public liability insurance in place.

The show
Ivy Amara builds the set around your event instead of arriving with a fixed one. Soft rhythms, covers picked to hold a crowd without shouting at it, and she can run up to three hours mixed with a DJ set list put together for your night. There's genuine warmth in how she works a room, and it lifts the atmosphere in a way that's hard to manufacture. If you want something nobody else has had, ask about a full set of her own songs instead of covers.
On the day
Ivy Amara brings her own sound and lighting, all of it hers and all of it good. So the venue supplies a space and power, and that's the extent of what's needed from your end. No hire company to book, no house system to test, nothing to check off with the coordinator on the morning.
