About
Harry Phillips is a singer-songwriter for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
Harry Phillips won the Billy Thorpe Scholarship at the Queensland Music Awards and is putting the funds into a second EP with producers Alex Henrikkson, who has worked with Matt Corby, and Adrian Breakspear of Gang of Youths. His songs have had national radio play, including Triple J, and reached number one on Triple J Unearthed. The live side is acoustic pop-rock with a nod to Ed Sheeran and John Mayer, drawn from years playing bars, clubs and festivals in Queensland, around Australia and overseas. The covers list runs from Piano Man and To Her Door to Flame Trees, Teenage Dirtbag and Four Seasons In One Day. Book it as two acoustic guitars, guitar and drums, a trio, or a four or five piece band. Expect harmonies, easy banter and a setlist shaped to your night. Just power needed.
Watch
The show
Acoustic pop-rock, with the volume set wherever your night needs it. Harry Phillips and the band can keep it relaxed and vibe-driven through dinner, or push into something you can actually dance to later on. Expect harmonies, easy chat between songs and a setlist built around what you've asked for rather than a fixed running order. Piano Man, To Her Door, Flame Trees, Teenage Dirtbag and Four Seasons In One Day all sit in the covers list.
On the day
Everything comes with them, so power is the only thing you need to sort out. The line-up is yours to pick: solo, two guitars together, one guitar with drums behind it, a trio, or the full band at four or five players. Choose whichever suits the room and how loud you want the night to get.
Performance options
Book Harry solo for something small and intimate, or as a duo with two acoustic guitars. A trio adds another layer, and the four or five piece band is the one to book if you want people on their feet. There's also guitar and drums as a stripped-back option with more push behind it. Bookings usually run around four hours.
