About
George Hodges Music is a singer-songwriter for hire in Windsor, QLD.
Small guitar, surprisingly big sound. George Hodges writes his own material, strong on melody and reflective in theme, and he's got over two hours of it. Covers get sprinkled through the sets for variety: Free Fallin', Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, Fly Me To The Moon, a run of Ed Sheeran. If there's a song you want that isn't in there, he'll learn it with a bit of notice. The sound sits in Jack Johnson and Gavin DeGraw territory, easy to hum along to on first listen. Based in Windsor, Brisbane. He brings his own PA and needs a power point plus room for one person, a mic and a guitar.
The show
George Hodges writes his own material and has over two hours of it. It's melodic and reflective, closer to Jack Johnson and Gavin DeGraw than anything demanding, so people tend to hum along the first time they hear it. Covers get worked through the sets to keep the variety up: Free Fallin', Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, Fly Me To The Moon, a run of Ed Sheeran. And if there's a song you want that isn't in there, give him notice and he'll learn it.
On the day
George brings his own PA. What he needs is a power point and enough floor for one person, a microphone and a guitar. It's a small footprint, which is why he fits into rooms a band couldn't.
