About
Gabrielle Mathews is a singer-songwriter for hire in Coolangatta, QLD.
Folk and jazz, originals and covers, and more than twenty years of gigs behind it. Gabrielle Mathews holds a Bachelor of Music Performance majoring in voice and teaches music alongside performing. Her repertoire pulls from Jack Johnson, Norah Jones, Joni Mitchell, Tracy Chapman, Led Zeppelin, Jeff Buckley, Eva Cassidy, Angus and Julia Stone and Emiliana Torrini, plus her own writing and whatever you'd like added. She works at both ends of the scale, from a baby shower or hens party in someone's lounge room through to a full venue. Rehearsals and custom set lists are on the table if you want the music built around a specific day. Working with children check held. Based at Coolangatta, needs a power outlet and a space to set up.
The show
Gabrielle Mathews plays folk and jazz, her own songs alongside covers from Jack Johnson, Norah Jones, Joni Mitchell, Tracy Chapman, Eva Cassidy and further afield. Twenty years of gigs sit behind it, and she teaches music as well as performing, which shows in how the sets are put together. The scale moves with the booking. A baby shower or a hens party in a lounge room works as well as a full venue. Ask about rehearsals or a custom set list if there's a moment on the day that needs a particular song.
On the day
A power outlet and a space to set up in, and that covers it. Gabrielle brings everything else herself unless your venue has a house audio system worth plugging into, in which case she'll use that instead.
