About
Alpas Music is a singer-songwriter for hire in Gold Coast, QLD.
Journal-style lyrics over soothing folk melodies, in the vein of Angus and Julia Stone and Ben Howard. Alpas is a Gold Coast songwriter who started busking at 13 and hasn't really stopped, playing regular gigs across Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Sets can be a mix of covers and originals shaped to your event, or left entirely in her hands if you'd rather just let the music happen. It's an easy, unforced sound, storytelling first, and it suits rooms where people want to talk as well as listen.
The show
Soft folk, sung close and unhurried. Alpas writes like she is reading you pages out of a journal, and that carries into a live set: melodies that settle a room rather than compete with it, with the storytelling doing the heavy lifting. She has been playing to strangers since she was busking as a kid, and it shows in how comfortable she is holding a crowd that is only half listening. Expect a set built for a Gold Coast or Brisbane room where people want to talk over dinner and then find themselves quiet by the second song.
