About
Alexis Benedict is a singer-songwriter for hire in Gold Coast, QLD.
More than 25 years in the music industry, and not just on stage: producing, songwriting, recording, touring globally and developing other artists along the way. Alexis Benedict brings all of that experience to acoustic sets that cross eras and genres, from Dolly Parton's Jolene and Creedence through Oasis and Eskimo Joe to current hits like Flowers. Each cover gets an original feel rather than a straight copy. Benedict has played events and pubs across Melbourne and Queensland, connects with all age groups, and is happy to take specific song requests ahead of an event. Punctual, professional, and clearly still in love with the work.
Watch
The show
Alexis turns up when he said he would and plays properly, which sounds like a low bar until you've had a booking go the other way. The sets cross eras rather than sticking to one, and each cover gets its own feel instead of a note for note copy. Got a song that has to be in there? Ask ahead of the event and he'll work it in.
On the day
Alexis brings his own sound but no lighting rig. So if the room needs lighting, whether that's the venue's own system or something hired, it has to come from your end. Worth sorting early for evening bookings, particularly outdoors, where a well lit performance spot changes how the whole thing feels.
