About
The Rocking Rods is a musical duo for hire in Logan City, QLD.
Two players, sometimes three, sometimes four. The Rocking Rods scale to whatever the room needs, and the core is a duo of session-hardened musicians who've done the studio work as well as the stages. Rock and pop classics from the 60s onward are the speciality, played with the volume up. Expect Proud Mary, Jailhouse Rock, Johnny B Goode, Black Magic Woman, Rocking All Over The World. They cover other genres too, but the rock and roll end is where they live. One practical note for outdoor bookings: they'll want cover from the weather, decent access to power and a heads-up about stairs.
Watch
The show
Rock and pop classics from the 60s and 70s through the 80s and up to current material, played hard. The Rocking Rods keep the energy high across the whole set rather than saving it for the last half hour, which is what makes them a dance floor act rather than background music.
On the day
Outdoors, they'll want proper cover overhead and power points within easy reach of where they're playing. Two details to send through when you enquire: the dimensions of the stage or performance area, and whether there are any stairs on the way in.
