About
The Lux Duo is a musical duo for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
Serinna and Vinny have played more than a hundred weddings, along with corporate work for CanStar, Woolworths, The Star Casino, QUT, RACQ and BYD. The Lux Duo is a Brisbane acoustic act with a groove to it, leaning on jazz, soul, pop, country, blues and bossa: Amy Winehouse, Olivia Dean, Bruno Mars, Ray Charles, Michael Jackson, Michael Buble. Sets are built for your event rather than pulled off a shelf, and they'll learn new songs for you at no extra cost. Add a saxophone and it becomes a trio. Clear communication and reliability are what they trade on, and they only need power and cover from the weather.

The show
Serinna and Vinny have done this at more than a hundred weddings, and the pitch is that you stop thinking about the music once it's booked. Clear answers to your questions, turning up when they said they would, and an acoustic sound with a bit of groove to it: jazz, soul, pop, country, blues and bossa, from Amy Winehouse to Ray Charles to Bruno Mars. Sets get built around your event rather than repeated from the last one, and they'll learn new songs for you without charging extra. Corporate crowds get the same treatment as couples.
On the day
Two things only. Access to power, and cover from the weather if there's any chance of rain. Beyond that they fit around what the venue gives them, indoors or out, which is one of the advantages of a duo: no stage plot to negotiate and nothing that needs a room built around it. If your space is unusual, tell them and they'll work it out before the day.
Performance options
Book the duo, or add a saxophone and make it the Lux Trio, which thickens the sound noticeably for a reception or a corporate night. Both work across ceremonies, canapes, dinners and dancing. When you enquire, tell them how long you need music for, where the venue is and what sort of event it is, since those three things shape what they recommend. Charity and fundraising events are welcome to say so.
