About
NxtGeneration is a musical duo for hire in Launceston, TAS.
Clarendon Arms, the Tonic Bar at the Casino, vineyards, pubs, sporting clubs and hotels around northern Tasmania. NxtGeneration have played most of them. It's a duo that turns up with everything, PA and lighting included, and works through rock and pop from the 60s to the 2000s. Jessie's Girl, Khe Sanh, Boys Light Up, April Sun in Cuba, Copperhead Road, Brown Eyed Girl, Footloose. The energy stays high because that's the whole point of the act. Allow two hours for setup and soundcheck, depending on what the room needs.
The show
The duo arrives with the lot: PA, lighting, all their own gear. From there it's rock and pop across five decades, the 60s through to the 2000s, played at a level that keeps a room awake. They treat it as a show rather than background music, which is worth knowing if you were after something quiet.
On the day
Two hours before the first song, and that's for load-in, setting up and getting the sound right. How much of it they actually use depends on the room and what the night needs. Build it into your run sheet so nobody's still coiling cables while guests are walking in.
