About
Liquid Wax is a musical duo for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
Samantha and Porl have shared stages with Jamiroquai, Moby, Nelly Furtado, and Michael Franti & Spearhead, and that experience shows in how Liquid Wax read a room. The core sound sits in downbeat jazzy grooves, neo soul, trip hop, funk and disco-tinged house, with live vocal hooks and instrumental riffs over the top. They'll flip from a live cocktail act into a DJ set of mainstream floor fillers, anything from 50s classics to last week's hits. And the line-up scales: two performers up to five, depending on the size of the room and what you want it to feel like.
