About
Jag Duo is a musical duo for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
Two acoustic guitars, two voices, and three years of playing together. JAG DUO run from Guns N' Roses to Powderfinger to Crowded House, with the rhythm guitar warm underneath and lead melodies laid over the top. The list keeps going: Wish You Were Here, To Her Door, Never Tear Us Apart, Mr Brightside, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Otherside, Brown Eyed Girl. What people keep telling them is that they created a great vibe. They mix through a board, so the volume can sit under conversation or come up for the back half. A two by two metre area works, and they can play without power if they need to.

The show
Two acoustic guitars and two voices, running through everything from Guns N' Roses to Powderfinger to Crowded House. Because JAG DUO mix through a board, the volume is genuinely adjustable on the night. Early on it can sit under people talking. Later it comes up. They'll also engage with the crowd rather than staring at the fretboard, so it works as an upbeat backdrop or as the thing everyone's watching, depending on what the evening turns into. What people keep saying afterwards is that the vibe was right.
On the day
Give them a patch about two metres square and they'll fit. Two power points is what they'd prefer. And if the spot you've picked has no power at all, they can still play, which makes garden ceremonies and out-of-the-way corners possible without running a lead halfway across the property. Worth flagging the power situation when you enquire so they bring the right gear.
