About

Heidi Kaal is a musical duo for hire in Brisbane, QLD.

Vocals and guitar, arranged acoustically, pulling from pop, rock and soul. The Heidi Kaal Duo run a Brisbane based set that can sit in the background at a corporate lunch or push a wedding reception along, depending on what the hour calls for. The song list is enormous and genuinely varied: Black Velvet, Rolling In The Deep, What's Up, Valerie, House Of The Rising Sun, Big Jet Plane, Love Shack, Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again. Ninety-nine per cent of the work is reading which of those the room wants. Heidi's voice does the heavy lifting, warm and strong, and the guitar keeps it moving. All they need is power and somewhere out of the weather. Public liability insurance is held.

The song list is broad enough that most rooms find something they recognise inside the first half hour. Nineties favourites sit next to classic jazz, eighties rock and current chart material, and the duo move between them rather than parking in one decade for the night. That range is the point of booking them. Two players, plenty of enthusiasm, and a set that can be steered towards whichever end of the room you most want on their feet.
