About
Angus & Bobby is a musical duo for hire in Gold Coast, QLD.
Two young guitarists who made the finals of Australian Idol in 2023. Angus and Bobby play acoustic pop and rock covers spanning the decades, from Chuck Berry and The Beatles through Cold Chisel and Bon Jovi to Ed Sheeran and The Killers, with a few of their own originals in the mix. They can keep it quiet in a corner or lift a whole room, and the set works for any age crowd. Recent shows include The Star Casino, the Gold Coast Convention Centre and the Sheraton Gold Coast. Public liability insurance is in place, and all they need is power at the stage.
Watch
The show
Youthful acoustic rock and pop, played by two guitarists who both sing, and it lands with any age group in the room. The songbook crosses the decades, Chuck Berry and The Beatles through Cold Chisel and Bon Jovi to Ed Sheeran and The Killers, with a few originals of their own worked in. They can play it quietly from a corner or lift the volume until the room is on its feet, so tell them which kind of night you're after. They made the finals of Australian Idol in 2023, and rooms like The Star Casino and the Gold Coast Convention Centre are on the recent list.
On the day
A stage of at least four metres by two if your venue can manage it, and power at the stage itself rather than across the room. Two guitarists don't need much, but they do need enough width to move without knocking into each other or a mic stand.
