Smash the Stigma is a speaker who served time in prison and now talks openly about what that was actually like, and about the work of rebuilding a life afterwards. The talk is interactive rather than a lecture from a lectern. Audiences laugh, some of them cry, and most of them end up part of it. There is swearing, and there is dancing. Themes run through breath, the body and living from the heart instead of the head, aimed at people getting closer to what they are capable of. The show
The crowd laughs, the crowd cries, and the crowd ends up in the conversation instead of watching one. Breath and the body run right through the talk, along with the case for living more from the heart than the head. There is swearing. There is also dancing. The view underneath it all is that life is better shared: dance together, and tell each other the true things.
