About
Sam Sciacca is a motivational speaker for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
Sam Sciacca doesn't do the standard motivational talk, and says so up front. He was born extremely premature and grew up outside what anyone predicted for him, and the talk starts from that rather than dwelling on it. What he's actually interested in is how people keep going when life offers no certainty and no clear direction. He doesn't stand up as an expert with answers. He speaks as someone who worked out slowly, over years, that resilience gets built quietly. Instead of chasing borrowed definitions of success, he went looking for his own. The presentation is stripped back on purpose. No slides, no screen, just a chair and a microphone in a quiet room where people can hear each other think.
The show
This is not a motivational talk in the usual sense, and Sam says so plainly. He was born 16 weeks early weighing 580 grams and grew up against medical expectations, and the story is the starting point rather than the whole talk. What he digs into is carrying on when life offers no certainty and no clear direction. He does not stand up as an expert with answers. He talks as someone who spent years learning that resilience gets built quietly, through consistency rather than intensity, and who shaped his values around character and contribution instead of status. Nobody is asked to participate. The delivery is unhurried and human, and the talk runs 15, 20 or 30 minutes.
On the day
Deliberately minimal. A quiet, seated room with clear sightlines, and ideally a chair or stool on stage, plus a small side table for water. A handheld or lapel mic is preferred once the audience passes about 40 people, though Sam is happy to project his voice if that is easier. No screen, slides or visual aids are needed. Phones silenced where possible keeps the atmosphere intact.
