About
Patrick Duffy - Cleverfool is a motivational speaker for hire in Reservoir Melbourne, VIC.
Patrick Duffy calls himself the Swiss Army knife of the conference world, and the job list backs it up: emcee, facilitator, applied improvisation trainer, corporate entertainer. Twenty-five years of corporate and theatre work behind it. The thread running through all of it is improvisation, used to get people engaging with each other rather than watching a stage. He was named on the Top Corporate MCs list for 2018. Every workshop and performance gets built to the client's actual outcomes, and the process starts with a few emails, a phone call and a coffee before anything gets proposed. Expect laughs, and expect the session to still be doing something a month later. Melbourne based. Also performs as part of The Confidence Men.

The show
The shape of the job decides the shape of the answer. Patrick Duffy starts with a bit of back and forth over email, follows it with a phone call, and will sit down with you over a coffee if that helps pin down what the session actually has to achieve. Only then does a proposal turn up. What you get on the day is a room that laughs and a room that walks out with something it can actually use. Plenty of speakers manage one of those. References are available if you want to hear it from someone who has already booked him.
On the day
It shifts with the job, but the bare minimum is a lapel mic and a handheld. The lapel keeps his hands free, which matters for improvisation work, and the handheld goes out to the room when people are taking part.
Performance options
Nothing off the shelf. Every workshop and every performance gets built around what you actually want the day to achieve, so the emcee work, the facilitation and the applied improvisation training all get shaped to the outcomes you name at the start.
