Brand Jam is a motivational speaker for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
Your team becomes the band. That's the whole idea behind Brand Jam, an interactive Brisbane-based experience where a conference room or staff meeting picks up instruments and ends up performing a song together. Each session starts with an icebreaker to get people talking and laughing, then the group either learns a ready-made original, writes one from scratch with help from the songwriting team, or simply jams for the fun of it. Formats range from a 15 minute wake-up jam between conference speakers to half-day sessions, including a battle of the bands for groups over 50. You can nominate a theme when booking, participants are encouraged to bring their own instruments, and public liability insurance is in place. All they need from you is a room with seating and power.
The show
It opens with an icebreaker, and that part is doing real work. People talk, laugh, move around, and by the time instruments come out the room isn't self-conscious any more. From there it depends what you've booked. The group might learn a ready-made original written by the songwriting team and perform it, or write one from scratch on the day and play that, or just jam together for the fun of it. You can nominate a theme up front, and everyone's encouraged to bring their own instrument or just their voice.
On the day
A room with seating and enough power to run everything. That's the whole list from your end. Brand Jam brings the rest, so you don't need to source instruments or a PA. Worth thinking about the room shape though: people need to be able to turn their chairs towards each other, so a space that's already set up in tight theatre rows is harder work than an open one.
Performance options
Four formats, sized to the day. The 15 Minute Wake Up Jam slots between conference speakers or into a staff meeting when you need the room lifted fast. The 2hr Songwriting Jam wants a group of at least 30 and ends with everyone performing a song they wrote that morning. The 4hr Battle of the Bands Jam is for groups over 50 and splits you into competing bands. And the 4hr Purpose Led Jam runs on a theme you choose.
