About
Bio-Hack Your Brilliance - Julie Makin is a motivational speaker for hire in Melbourne, VIC.
Julie Makin speaks about Body Intelligence, or BQ, and what it has to do with rejection, identity and the way people treat each other. Her talk is called "BQ is Your Superpower" and it's built around three ideas she calls the three A's: Awareness, Acceptance and Authenticity. She arrives at least an hour before she's due on, and she likes talking to people before and after, not just at them from the stage. Bookings cover keynotes, leadership and wellbeing sessions, mental health talks and high school audiences. She works with a lapel or headset mic so she can move, plus a projector, screen and a clicker for her slides. Fully insured for public liability.

The show
Julie's session is about Body Intelligence, or BQ, and what your body already knows before your head catches up. The spine of it is what she calls the three A's: Awareness, Acceptance and Authenticity. It isn't a lecture. Expect discussion, exercises the room actually takes part in, and storytelling that carries the ideas rather than slides doing the work. She's on site an hour ahead of time at minimum, and the conversations either side of the talk matter to her as much as the talk itself. What people leave with is meant to be usable, not just a good feeling on the day.
On the day
Julie moves while she speaks, so a lapel or headset microphone through the venue's sound system is what she needs rather than a fixed stand. Her presentation runs on slides and sometimes video, so a projector and screen are required, plus a clicker so she can change slides without walking back to a laptop. A lectern too. Standard conference room kit, in other words, and most venues already have it sitting there.
