About
Ven Wolfe is an MC for hire in Sunshine Coast, QLD.
Ven Wolfe has hosted weddings, trivia nights, poetry slams, New Year's Eve parties and stand-up comedy shows, which is a broad enough spread that not much rattles him. Acting work on American Horror Story and Beverly Hills Nannies sharpened the read on a room. So the approach on the night is loose rather than scripted: an outline of the key moments and information, then whatever the crowd gives back. He keeps proceedings on time, and gives credit to the people who did the planning. There's fifteen minutes of stand-up available if you want it. Based on the Sunshine Coast, with his own speaker and microphone, or he'll use the venue rig.
Watch
The show
Ven Wolfe hosts rather than reads. He works from an outline of the key moments and the information that has to be said, then stays spontaneous around it, which is what lets him respond to a room instead of talking over it. Acting is his background, and it shows in how quickly he reads an audience and adjusts. He keeps the timing tight so your night doesn't drift, and he makes a point of giving credit where it's owed. Light hearted, comedic, and awake to what's happening in front of him all evening.
On the day
Ven travels with his own speaker and microphone, so a venue with no gear is not a problem. If yours already has a system he'll happily work through that instead. Either way, one less thing on your list.
