About
Angus Brennan is an MC for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
Hosting is Angus Brennan's day job, not a sideline. Around Brisbane he runs trivia nights for Quiz Meisters, murder mystery shows for Zesty Productions, and karaoke and open mic nights, and he's coached voice acting workshops since 2019. He's also hosted the likes of TEDxQUT and university events. Angus is the sort of MC who arrives early enough to help set the show up and stays until everything's under control. And he sings and plays guitar too, takes requests, and can bring a full PA with two wireless microphones if the venue doesn't have one.
Watch
The show
Angus hosts for a living, which is the difference between an MC who fills gaps and one who drives a night. He runs trivia around Brisbane, hosts murder mystery shows, and works karaoke and open mic rooms, so a microphone in front of a distracted crowd is ordinary territory. He arrives early enough to help you get the show on its feet, and he stays until the whole thing is under control rather than disappearing after the last announcement. And he sings and plays guitar, so requests are fair game.
On the day
Angus can supply a full PA with two wireless microphones, which covers you if the venue has nothing usable. Where there's already a house system, he'll work with that instead. Worth flagging your situation early, since the two arrangements are quite different on the day.
