About
Jasminne Goodwin is an MC for hire in Gold Coast, QLD.
"Every great event has a purpose, and my role is to bring that purpose to life." That's how Jas Goodwin describes the job, and after more than 20 years leading teams and working audiences, the approach is practical rather than theatrical. Founder of The Seed Theory, she works as a corporate MC, keynote speaker and leadership facilitator across conferences, awards nights, leadership summits and panel discussions from the Gold Coast. Expect a proper briefing beforehand on objectives, audience and run sheet, then a calm presence on the day that keeps things moving and looks after every speaker. Welcome remarks, sponsor acknowledgements, introductions, panel facilitation, audience Q and A, award presentations, charity auctions and the close are all covered.
The show
Work starts well before the day. Jas goes through your objectives, who's in the room and the run sheet, so the transitions between segments feel like they were planned rather than patched. On the day you get someone warm and unflustered at the front, keeping things to time while looking after every speaker who steps up. It's the calm that matters most. An MC who's visibly stressed makes the whole room tense, and that's the opposite of the job.
On the day
A wireless handheld or lapel microphone, and a confidence monitor on stage if you can manage one. She'll want access to the AV technician before the event and during it, plus the final run sheet and speaker details ahead of time so nothing is a surprise from the lectern. Beyond that she's happy to work directly with your venue and AV crew to sort the detail.
Performance options
Conference MC work runs half day, full day or across multiple days. There's also awards nights and galas, panel facilitation, charity auction hosting, general event hosting and facilitation, and keynote speaking. Any of it can be built out with the planning that sits behind it: briefing your speakers, developing the run sheet and facilitating on the day.
