About
Just Us is a jazz duo for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
Vocals, guitar and double bass. Just Us are a Brisbane jazz duo working mostly from the American Songbook, with the swing gems of the 40s and 50s at the heart of it. Lisa sings, Roger holds down the bass lines, and the result is easy listening in the proper sense of the phrase. Standards like A Foggy Day, I've Got You Under My Skin, Fools Rush In, Our Love Is Here To Stay and There Will Never Be Another You sit in the set. They can supply a PA.

The show
Jazz standards sung properly, at a volume that lets a room keep talking. Just Us play the smooth end of the songbook, so the set drifts along behind conversation at a dinner or a function and never demands the floor. Vocals lead, the bass and guitar sit underneath, and the whole thing has an unhurried feel to it. Good for a long lunch, a cocktail hour or an event where you want live music without anybody having to shout over it.
