About
Szara Fox & The Midnight Secrets is a folk band for hire in Healesville, VIC.
Balkan gypsy dance grooves, played hot. Szara Fox is a Dutch singer-songwriter living in Australia, and the Midnight Secrets are festival-hardened players who wrap her songs in trumpet, double bass, electric guitar and drums. Andrew Darling's trumpet lines do a lot of the heavy lifting. The songs run on wanderlust, mystery and love, and the live show is built to make people dance rather than sit politely. Based at Healesville in the Yarra Valley. Bookable as a duo, a trio or the full band, with a 45-minute duo set or an hour with the band, plus MC and PA if needed. Insured.

The show
Balkan gypsy-flavoured dance grooves under the songs of a Dutch singer-songwriter who has spent a long time travelling. The lyrics run on wanderlust, love and what sits over the horizon, and the show is built to shift people off their chairs rather than have them nod along. Andrew Darling's trumpet cuts through the top of it. Nico Di Stefano is on guitar, Michael Arvanitakis on double bass and Roderick McLeod on drums. Book it as a duo, a trio or the full band.
On the day

Vocals and trumpet both sit on a Shure 58, and the acoustic goes in via DI.
