About
Inferno is a fire performer for hire in Adelaide, SA.
Kali Savill performs as Kraken Fire and directs INFERNO - The Show, a South Australian fire entertainment production that pulls together some of the country's more dynamic fire artists. They've worked the big Adelaide corporate rooms, Adelaide Oval, the Convention Centre and the Entertainment Centre, and they've also played under the BIGTOP tents at Adelaide Fringe alongside a monthly show at Nineteen Ten. Beyond fire, the roster stretches to burlesque, aerial, sideshow and dance, so a show can be built up or stripped back depending on the space. Stage show or roving, large event or small. Music runs through your sound system, and fire safety personnel come as part of the booking.
Watch
The show
Fire safety personnel are on site for the performance and that's part of the booking, not an extra you have to organise. Music runs through your own sound system, so nothing separate arrives for audio.
On the day
Give them three metres square to work in, with nothing hanging lower than 3.5 metres above it. The floor needs to be non-slip. A private storage area is needed for gear. Crowd control and stage barriers, where they're warranted, are the venue's responsibility. Indoor fire performance has its own set of requirements, so ask about that specifically before you lock a room in.
Performance options
Two different formats sit under the one banner, and they are booked as separate things. Roving work is improvised, with performers moving through the crowd and reacting to whoever is in front of them. The fire acts are the other side of it: choreographed pieces set to music and built for a stage, where the audience watches rather than mingles. Tell them which one your event is really after, or ask for both across a night, and the show gets shaped around that.
