About
YuNiOn is a drumming group for hire in Sydney, NSW.
YuNiOn brings together Masae Ikegawa and Graham Hilgendorf in a Sydney taiko drumming duo. Japanese drums sit alongside other percussion, movement and elements of song and dance in their performances. Formed in Japan in 2005, the duo has appeared in Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan and Japan through concerts, workshops and corporate bookings. Both performers bring extensive touring and teaching experience, with a format that can introduce audiences to taiko through either a staged performance or participation.
