About
The velvet edge is a cover band for hire in Perth, WA.
Four pieces, powerhouse female vocals out front, and a pub rock set that runs from the 70s through the 80s, 90s and beyond. The velvet edge have played the Perth scene and interstate for years, and the songs are the ones a crowd already knows. Proud Mary, April Sun in Cuba, Sharp Dressed Man, I Love Rock and Roll, Khe Sanh territory. They bring everything: PA, lights, instruments, cables, and their own sound engineer. All you supply is 240 volt power. Pubs, clubs, private functions and corporate nights all work, though this band is at its best where there's room to dance.
The show
Pub rock done properly, with a band that sounds good and works the crowd rather than staring at the fretboard. Fun is the operating principle here, and the songs are pitched at a room that wants to join in. Expect plenty of interaction across the night.
On the day
The band arrive with all of the musical and electrical gear the show needs, which covers the PA, the lights, the instruments, the leads and the cables. They also bring their own sound engineer. On your side, a 240 volt supply is the single requirement.
