Nostalgia is a cover band for hire in Perth, WA.
Five pieces, three 45 minute sets, and a run of songs that starts in the 70s and finishes somewhere around the 2000s. Nostalgia work with male and female vocals over guitar, bass, keys and drums, which is what lets them move between Fleetwood Mac, INXS, Blondie and Donna Summer without the whole thing sagging. Expect Don't Stop Believin', Take On Me, Ain't Nobody, Rebel Yell, New Sensation. Between sets there's background music so the room never goes silent. They can bring the PA and a sound engineer if the venue hasn't got one, and they'll want a soundcheck window beforehand. Corporate nights, weddings, big rooms in Perth.
The show
Five musicians, three sets of 45 minutes, and a song list that walks forward through four decades. Male and female vocals trade off over guitar, bass, keys and drums, which is the thing that keeps a classic rock number and a disco floor-filler sitting in the same set without one of them sounding thin. It's built for dancing rather than listening politely. Between the sets there's recorded music so the room doesn't fall flat while the band grabs a drink. Corporate nights, private functions and rooms with a decent crowd in them are the natural fit.
On the day
Give the band about 5m by 4m to work in, ideally on a solid indoor floor or a properly covered area if you're outside. They need two standard 240V ten amp outlets near the stage. Load-in matters more than people expect, so a lift or a ramp if the room isn't at ground level, and a parking spot near the door saves everyone a lot of carrying. A table or a corner to stash cases is handy. Book them 60 to 90 minutes of soundcheck before guests arrive. PA and an engineer can come with the band if the venue hasn't got either.
Performance options
The standard booking is the whole five piece with three 45 minute sets, a sound engineer running the desk, PA and basic lighting supplied, and recorded music covering the gaps between sets. So you're not chasing a separate audio company or building a playlist for the breaks. It's one booking that arrives with everything the room needs.
