About

Hit Parade is a cover band for hire in Canberra, ACT.

Four-part harmony is Hit Parade's signature. The Canberra group has performed consistently for 28 years, with male and female lead vocals covering 50 years of songs, Neil Diamond through to Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift, delivered over professionally written backing tracks. That range lets them fill an auditorium with rock and pop one weekend, then trim the sound and song choice for a restaurant or cafe the next. Recent lists run from At Last and Close to You through Africa and Black Velvet to Cold Heart and Anti Hero. All equipment is provided; they just need a stage space of 3 by 4 metres.

The show

Four part harmony is the thing you'll notice first. Male and female leads share the front, and the arrangements sit on professionally written backing tracks, which is how a group this size covers 50 years of music without thinning out. Neil Diamond at one end, Lady Gaga at the other. Twenty eight years of steady playing in Canberra has given them a set list that keeps changing, and a fair idea of which songs work in which room. They'll fill an auditorium with rock and pop, then pull the whole thing back for a restaurant or a cafe. And they clearly enjoy it, which shows.

On the day

All the equipment comes with them, so there's nothing to hire in and nothing for your venue to supply. What they need from you is a stage space of 3 by 4 metres. Worth confirming that with the venue early, especially in a restaurant or a function room.
