GET IT ON work as a six piece in Perth, and the songs land where you'd hope: Jump, Hold The Line, Long Train Running, Don't Stop Believing, then Rolling In The Deep and Shallow when the room wants something newer. Two vocalists out front. The band can also strip back to a two, three or four piece acoustic line-up, which suits an early dinner set before the full band plugs in later. PA and lights are available if the venue hasn't got them. They ask for a staged area, power nearby and about two hours to set up and sound check.
The show
Live music played by people who do this for a living, with two vocalists carrying the front of the stage all night. That's the short version and it's mostly what matters. The songs are big, familiar, built for a room that wants to be on its feet, and having two singers means the harmonies land and neither voice is wrecked by the last set.
On the day
They need a staged area, or failing that just a clear patch big enough for six musicians and the audio rig. Power outlets should be close to where the band sets up rather than across the room.
