About
Downtown is a cover band for hire in Perth, WA.
Six decades of party songs, played by a Perth band whose members have spent years on stages here and overseas. DOWNTOWN works weddings, private functions, charity balls and corporate nights, and the repertoire stretches from the newest floor fillers back to the ones everyone in the room already knows. Standard line-up is four pieces, with five or six available. Practical detail worth knowing: allow two hours for the band to set up when a PA and sound engineer are already on site, or four if they're bringing the sound and lighting themselves. A stage around 4.5 by 6.5 metres suits them best. They carry public liability and professional indemnity cover.

The show
Six decades of party songs, played by musicians who've done the miles here and overseas. DOWNTOWN suits a wedding, a charity ball, a company night or a private function, and the set moves between songs that charted this year and the ones the whole room already knows the words to. The service side is looked after too, which matters more than people expect on a night with a run sheet.
On the day
Two hours of setup time before the event if the venue is supplying the PA and a sound engineer. If you'd rather the band brought the sound and lighting themselves, add another four hours on top of that. A stage of roughly 4.5m by 6.5m suits the line-up best, and it wants to be at least 300mm high.
Performance options
Four pieces is the standard line-up. Five and six piece versions are available if the room or the budget calls for something bigger.
