About
Dorothy Coolen is a cover band for hire in Perth, WA.
Book Dorothy Coolen as a solo, a duo, a trio, or scale it all the way up to a six piece. The repertoire runs disco, funk, soul, R&B, pop and rock across the sixties through to current Billboard chart hits, so a set can move from Brass In Pocket and Crazy Little Thing Called Love to Dance Monkey and Flowers without losing anybody. Perth based. The setup is fully professional: quality PA, lighting effects and a sound engineer who comes with the booking. What Dorothy actually trades on is audience interaction. The aim is a full dance floor early and people staying on it, which is a different job to simply playing the songs well.
On the day
Dorothy Coolen turns up fully equipped: a quality PA sound system, lighting effects, and a professional sound engineer who comes as part of the booking. That last one is worth noting, since most acts this size mix themselves from the stage and hope for the best.
Performance options
Solo, duo or trio at the smaller end, then four, five or six piece band as it scales up. Pick the size that suits your room and your night.
