About
Carbon Taxi is a cover band for hire in Perth, WA.
The set runs from 500 Miles and Brown Eyed Girl through to Lizzo's About Damn Time and Blinding Lights, with Cher, Kylie and Australian Crawl in between. Carbon Taxi have become one of Perth's most booked corporate bands, with years across the city's pubs, clubs, festivals and private functions behind them. Start with the duo or trio, or go to a four or five piece that adds guitar and saxophone for the bigger sound. They read a crowd well, easing from sophisticated background sets into full dance floor mode as the night turns. Own PA supplied if the venue doesn't have one.
The show
Two, three or four musicians, depending on how much room and how much sound the night calls for. Carbon Taxi have put in the years around Perth, pubs and clubs, festivals, corporate rooms and private functions, and that shows in the reading of a crowd more than anywhere else. They watch what's happening and shift with it instead of ploughing through a fixed running order. Energy when the floor wants energy, restraint when the room is still talking.
