About
GranPam & PhilPop is a children's band for hire in Maffra, VIC.
Storytime, action songs, dancing, and a lot of parents joining in whether they meant to or not. GranPam & PhilPop run an interactive children's show aimed squarely at the nought to seven crowd, though the older kids and the adults tend to get swept along. Five performers take the stage, including Miss Pepper. The songs are a mix of classic children's favourites and originals written by GranPam, which is the difference a pair of professional musicians and music educators makes. Based in Maffra, they've played shopping centres, ag shows, race days, carnivals, parades, fetes, school holiday programs and corporate functions across Victoria and further afield. Available on public holidays and school holidays. They need a sheltered stage area of four by three metres and a power outlet. Full public liability insurance and current Working With Children checks.
Watch
The show
Forty five minutes of songs, storytime and dancing, pitched at children from babies up to about seven. Five performers on stage, including Miss Pepper the Bookworm, Scaredy the Koala and Melton the Snowman. Half the songs are children's classics everyone recognises and half are GranPam's own, written by someone who teaches music for a living, which is why they don't sound like filler. Mums and dads get pulled in as well. Shopping centres, ag shows, race days, parades, fetes and school holiday programs all suit it. Weekends, public holidays and school holidays are all fair game.
On the day
A staging area four metres by three, with cover over the top - no shade means no show if the sun or rain turns up. And a 240 volt power outlet within reach. Everything else comes with them.
