Steve Panozzo has been drawing people for a living since 1984, and in 2024 the Stanley Awards named him Event Cartoonist of the Year. He works live at corporate events, weddings, conferences and on cruise ships, all over Australia and beyond it. A caricature takes about seven minutes a face, give or take, depending on how much detail the drawing needs and how awkward the spot he is working in happens to be. Guests take theirs home, which is more than most entertainment leaves behind. He needs good light, a small table and three chairs. Insured, and holds a current Working With Children check.
The show
Steve draws your guests live, roughly seven minutes a face. It moves faster or slower depending on how much detail a drawing calls for and how tricky the spot he's working from turns out to be, because some venues make it harder than others. Guests walk off with the finished caricature in hand.
On the day
Three chairs, a small table and light he can actually see by. That's the whole list. Worth thinking about where you put him, though, because a spot people naturally drift past will grow its own queue, and a corner nobody walks through won't.
Performance options
Conferences and trade shows get a rate that steps down over multiple days, so a longer stand booking works out better than booking each day separately. Mention the number of days when you enquire.
