A4 or A3, black and white or spot colour, group pictures up to A2, and a style that can sit anywhere between cartoon and realistic depending on the room. Fancy dress included, if that's the theme. The real work is social: people queue, talk, laugh and mingle, which is exactly why caricature works at parties, awards nights, product launches and trade shows. The show
Graeme gets there fifteen or twenty minutes early so he can meet you, get set up and be drawing by the time your first guests wander over. Each caricature takes five or six minutes, goes into a plastic sleeve and straight into the guest's hands. Individuals or groups, whichever they ask for. What surprises most people is how social it gets - a queue forms, people watch each other being drawn, and strangers start talking. That's half the value at a trade show or an awards night. If you're expecting a big crowd, have someone on hand to help manage the line. He'll also design a template for your event beforehand, at no charge, if you can arrange the printing.
Performance options
Bookings run two hours as a minimum. If your venue is more than an hour and a half's drive from the Sydney CBD, that goes up to three. Weddings get a bit of extra thought: he can draw a sign-in poster of the couple, either in everyday clothes or in the wedding outfits, worked up from photos you send him ahead of the day. Drawings can be A4 or A3, black and white or with spot colour, and group pictures go up to A2. The style shifts too, from broad cartoon through to something closer to realistic, depending on what suits your crowd.
