About
Lachie Smart is a business speaker for hire in Sunshine Coast, QLD.
In 2016 Lachie Smart became the youngest pilot to fly solo around the world. The record took more than two years of planning, partnership deals worth over half a million dollars, and the building of a social movement, and that story anchors his speaking. But it isn't the whole kit. He's headlined national youth conferences since 2018, presented to corporate audiences in Australia and the US on intergenerational management and youth development, and oversaw international sales for a rapidly growing medical company through the Covid years. Based on the Sunshine Coast, he speaks at conferences, schools and after-dinner events. AV required, story supplied.

The show
The world record flight is the spine of the talk, but the interesting part is how he unpacks it. Getting a solo aircraft around the globe meant two years of groundwork, a long run of corporate partnerships to fund it, and a following built from nothing, and that is what he takes apart on stage rather than simply retelling the trip. National youth conferences have had him headlining since 2018. Corporate rooms in Australia and the United States have had him on managing across generations and bringing young staff on. And there is commercial experience underneath: he ran international sales for a fast-growing medical company through the pandemic years, adding 25 percent a year.
