About
Marta Bellydance is a belly dancer for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
Marta is an award-winning fusion and oriental bellydancer, and she's now 21 years into it. She's known for sword work, for the kind of layering that holds a room still, and for a cheeky streak that keeps a performance from getting too serious about itself. She's danced for corporate clients, restaurants and private parties, and she runs classes and workshops that sell out, both in person and online. Bookings can be a performance, a lesson for a hens or bridal party, a themed activity, or a workshop for a group of any level. She'll bring her own backing track. All she needs is somewhere private to get ready.
Watch
The show
Twenty-one years in and the sword work is still what people talk about afterwards. Marta layers movement in a way that pulls a room quiet, then breaks it with a bit of cheek, and the costumes catch every light in the venue. It's not a performance that hides in the background. Guests watch it. She's worked corporate rooms, restaurants and private parties, so she knows the difference between a floor show and something that fits between courses, and she'll pitch it to your crowd.
On the day
Somewhere private to get ready before she goes on. That's the only ask. A back room, an office, a spare bedroom, whatever your venue has.
Performance options
You can book Marta to perform, or to teach, or both. Corporate functions and community events usually take a straight performance. Hens and bridal parties tend to want the lesson, where everyone has a go and there are themed activities built around it. Birthdays and anniversaries sit somewhere in between. She also runs workshops for groups at any level, from people who've never tried it to dancers who've been at it for years, and she can shape the whole thing around a Moroccan or Middle Eastern theme if that's the night you're planning.
