About
Bellydance Paula is a belly dancer for hire in Brisbane, QLD.
Over twenty years of bellydance behind her, and Paula splits that between performing and teaching. Shows are built for the event rather than pulled off a shelf: elegant pieces for a wedding ceremony or reception, livelier ones for birthdays and private parties, and performances pitched to hold a mixed crowd at a corporate function or festival. Cultural and community celebrations get the traditional side of the form done properly. She also runs workshops and classes for every level, in person or online, and teaching is clearly where a lot of her energy goes. Brisbane based.

The show
Paula asks what your event is before deciding what she's dancing. A wedding gets something elegant. A birthday or private party gets the livelier end of it. Festivals and corporate rooms get a performance built to hold a mixed crowd who weren't necessarily expecting bellydance. That's twenty-plus years of reading audiences doing the work. She teaches as well, and runs workshops and classes for every level, in person or online, so a class can be the booking rather than a show.
Performance options
Every performance gets shaped to the event. Weddings are handled with the elegant, graceful end of the repertoire, from ceremony through to reception. Birthdays and private parties go livelier. Corporate events and festivals get something built to hold a broad crowd, and cultural or community celebrations get the traditional form done properly. Themed events can have the choreography and costumes matched to your theme. Shows come as solo or group, with props including veil, fan veils and drum solo, and the length is adjustable. Paula can also work in audience participation or short demonstrations if you'd rather guests joined in than sat and watched.
