About
Suzie Q and Toby J is an acrobat for hire in Sydney, NSW.
Suzie Q and Toby J are partners offstage as well as on it, which is part of why the duo trapeze work reads the way it does. They build acts around characters and themes, with The Greatest Showman, Moulin Rouge and the Great Gatsby the most-requested, though they have also turned up as surf lifesavers, James Bond and blue Navi from Avatar. Their Champagne Chandelier has guests' glasses poured from above, and the Acrobatic Waiters do the drinks service the hard way. Aerial acts need rigging rated to two tonnes, four metres of height for cube and lyra and 5.5 for duo trapeze. If your Sydney venue has no rigging, Toby is an advanced rigger and they carry a freestanding rig, so outdoors is fine too. Both insured.

The show
Characters and themes carry these acts. The most-asked-for are The Greatest Showman, Moulin Rouge and the Great Gatsby, though the pair have also turned up as surf lifesavers, as James Bond, and as blue Navi from Avatar. Suzie Q and Toby J are partners off the stage as well as on it, and you can see that in the duo work. Weddings and corporate events both suit them.
On the day
For anything in the air, the venue needs a rigging point rated to two tonnes. Height matters: four metres minimum for cube and lyra, 5.5 metres for duo trapeze. Not sure what your venue has? Toby holds an advanced rigging qualification and will talk it through with the venue directly. And if there's no rigging at all, they own a freestanding rig, so a room without hard points still works, and so does outdoors.
Performance options
The favourite combination is an hour of Champagne Chandelier, where guests have their champagne poured from an aerialist above them, paired with a feature aerial act on trapeze, cube or lyra. Another option swaps the chandelier for an hour of roving acrobatics, or Acrobatic Waiters doing the drinks service upside down, again with a feature act alongside it.
