Aerial silks and aerial hoop, performed properly. The work is clean and controlled rather than showy for its own sake, which is what you want when guests are standing directly underneath it. Book a short feature and it becomes the moment everyone stops and looks up. Book a longer stretch and it becomes atmosphere, something happening overhead while the room carries on around it.
On the day
Two things decide whether a venue works: a ceiling of at least three metres and a three by three metre patch of floor underneath it. Rigging isn't part of the booking, so that gets arranged separately with your venue. Sound and lighting come from you or your production crew as well. Everything else is brought along.
Performance options
There are a few shapes this can take. The short one is a five minute feature act, performed to a song you choose, which works well slotted into a program. An hour of ambient aerial runs as two 25 minute sets with a ten minute break between them, so there's movement above the room while people eat and talk. Two hours is done as two 45 minute sets with a half hour break. And none of that is fixed. If your night wants the sets split differently, or a feature act plus some ambience later on, say so and the timings get rearranged around it.
